Rebecca Penland
Art Educator
Rebecca has been an art teacher for over 25 years in the Columbia area. She received a BA in Art from Columbia College and a Masters in Art Education from USC (certified K-12). She taught art at the Elementary School level in Richland District 2 for many years and several area Pre-Schools. She led an Art Camp at her home for many summers and her students have received numerous awards on the local and state level (including State Fair winners from previous art camps). She enjoys creating fun projects with children with a variety of media (drawing, painting, pastels, collage, sculpture and more). She loves painting her commissioned work in her spare time, too!
Heather Hansberry
Art Educator
Heather is the Middle School Visual Arts instructor at Hammond School. She has a BFA in Art Education from USC with a minor in Art History and concentration in Photography. She has taught art for 13 years including elementary school art and served as the Yearbook editor at two different schools. She also taught at a camp for children with disabilities and received her Gifted and Talented certification through graduate work at Coastal Carolina University. She enjoys painting in a variety of mediums and working with families and newborns in her photography sessions around town.
